National Day of Remembrance for Indian Boarding Schools – Sept 30

In solidarity with communities in the U.S. and Canada, we will be working with local Native activists honoring September 30 as a National Day of Remembrance for Indian Boarding Schools at the Canadian Consulate in Los Angeles. We must acknowledge the ongoing trauma of the Federal Indian Boarding School Policies so that they can be rectified and held to account.

Anti-Chevron Day Protest at El Segundo Refinery, Los Angeles

Protests against US oil giant Chevron were held across the world in May 2021 as part of “Anti-Chevron Day,” in the lead-up to the company’s annual shareholder meeting the next week. SoCal 350 partnered with Myanmar/Burma anti-coup activists and Amazon Watch to call for Chevron to pay their debts to Ecuador and stop funding the military dictatorship.

Los Angeles to Prez Biden: Build Back Fossil Free and Stop Tar Sands Pipelines

SoCal 350 and our local allies held actions in Downtown LA and the San Fernando Valley on April 9th, as part of the Build Back Fossil Free National Day of Action. We called on President Biden to end the era of fossil fuel production, protect communities reeling from the climate and COVID-19 crises, and Stop Line 3 and the Dakota Access Tar Sands Pipelines.
