The Clean Energy Movement is a multidisciplinary campaign to encourage renewables through legislation, increased funding, supporting Community Choice Power, and to advocate for proposals like electrified buses and trucks, and a just transition to an economy based on renewable energy. This year in the state legislature there are a few bills, including SB 100 which sets a goal for 100% renewables, that are important for the future of Clean Energy in the state and locally.

We joined dozens of community organizations representing public health experts, environmental justice communities, clean energy advocates, community advocates, businesses and faith groups to endorse California’s SB100 and launch CA100.org, dedicated to moving California’s power sector to 100 percent clean energy.

To learn more about how the City of Los Angeles can make a just transition to clean energy, see a report from our friends at Food & Water Watch on A Pathway to L.A. to 100% Renewable Energy by 2030.

Take Action:

  1. Support legislation to raise the threshold for how much electricity in California must come from renewable sources – SB 100
  2. Advocate for policies and regulations that support rooftop solar at the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC)
  3. Support expansion of community choice energy programs that will advance clean energy locally
