SoCal 350 Climate Action is a sponsor to this event put on by AIM SoCal, Idle No More LA-Venice. Here is the invite…

The momentum is rising at an unprecedented rate! Los Angeles will UNITE in a show of SOLIDARITY with the rest of the Nation!

The RIGHTS and RESPECT of Indigenous people is long overdue! It is time that this country acknowledges the crimes that have been committed historically and continue to be committed against the indigenous people of this land today. We can no longer be ignored. Together we will celebrate and promote the history and culture of the Native People.

Los Angeles Indigenous Peoples Day, SoCal 350

We will show the world our opposition and say #NoDAPL, #SaveOakFlat, #DefendTheSacred, #WaterIsLife.

One day for each sacred direction.
We are mobilizing 5000 prayers and/or actions around the world.
We say “with” and not “for” Standing Rock because we are asking people to also tackle local issues: It’s one thing to inspire the world to rush to your aid, it’s another thing to inspire the world to stand up for their own water, their own air, their own climate and their own communities. Let’s give Standing Rock that satisfaction by not only working for them, but also taking action to protect our own respective homelands! 🙂

Please take 1 minute to record your action/prayer here so we can make a map of all the people taking a stand: www.5k4sr.net

Thanks,

Jack Eidt
